Bakker Repair + Services inspects and overhauls thruster motors and generators of a fallpipe vessel during a docking period.
The Service Engineers from Bakker Repair + Services have inspected multiple thruster motors and generators of a fallpipe vessel during a docking period.
During the docking period of the fallpipe vessel, the bearings of three thruster motors were renewed on site. The shields on two of these thruster motors were rebushed in our workshop.
Furthermore, our Service Engineers disconnected and disassembled three other thruster motors in order to transport these electromotors to our workshop. After overhauling these thruster motors in our workshop, the motors were transported back including assembly and connecting on site.
Bakker Repair + Services also inspected the bearings of three generators on site. Based on these inspections, the bearing of one generator was renewed on site. The shield of this generator was also rebushed in our workshop.
Our Service Engineers detected heavy pollution on the inside of the shaft generator. Therefore the rotor was extracted from the stator and transported to our workshop. The rotor was placed back after it was overhauled and balanced. The shaft generator was aligned to ensure a long lifetime of the new bearings.
All installations were successfully delivered to our customer within the agreed schedule.
