Whilst replacing bearings of the shaft generator on board of the MV. “ ENERGIZER ”, our service engineers detected that the generator needed additional repairs in our workshop. The container ship needed a working shaft generator in just 3 days in order to sail according to schedule.
During a thorough inspection of the generator in our workshop even more necessary repairs were discovered. In close consultation with JR Shipping we decided to deliver a replacement generator to meet the challenging deadline.
Bakker Repair + Services found a replacement generator in a very short time. Minor adjustments were made in our workshop in order for the generator to fit the application on board of the MV. “ ENERGIZER ”. The generator was then certified in our testing facility in collaboration with an independent class surveyor.
Our service engineers started with aligning, connecting and commissioning the replacement generator one day before the scheduled departure of the container ship. The project was completed to satisfaction, just in time for the MV. “ ENERGIZER ” to sail according to schedule.
