The experienced rewinders of Bakker Repair + Services have successfully rewinded a HV bow thruster of a cruise ship while sailing through the Caribbean.
The experienced rewinders of Bakker Repair + Services worked on a challenging project in the past weeks. They were asked to rewind a high voltage bow thruster on board of a cruise ship while it was sailing through the Caribbean.
In order to perform a high quality repair on board of a cruise ship, which can carry up to 2184 passengers, our rewinders were challenged to come up with several creative solutions. For example, there was limited working space available compared to our modern Winding shop in Sliedrecht, the Netherlands. Our rewinders also used a special mobile spraying tool for the impregnation of the stator.
The rewinders of Bakker Repair + Services have rewinded the stator of the bow thruster and assembled the entire machine in a short time. They also put the bow thruster back into action. While repairing various measurements were performed to ensure the quality of the repair.
The high voltage bow thruster was delivered to full satisfaction our customer. The repaired bow thruster happily sails the cruise ship passengers to various destinations in the Caribbean.
