Bakker Repair + Services solves excitement loss on a generator on board of a ship in one day
Our customer indicated that the brushes of the generator produces sparks. Our Service Engineer discovered during a run out that the collector ring was out of tolerance
Therefore we have dismantled the non driven end of the generator in order to remove the collector rings. Our Service Engineer machined the collector rings back into tolerance in the workshop of the ship.
After the collector rings were re installed and the generator was reassembled our Service Engineer successfully started and tested the generator.
